William Powell
William Powell
William Horatio Powell (29 de julho de 1892 - 5 de março de 1984) foi um ator norte-americano. Sob contrato com a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, ele fez par com Myrna Loy em 14 filmes, incluindo a série Thin Man baseada nos personagens Nick e Nora Charles criados por Dashiell Hammett. Powell foi indicado ao Oscar de Melhor Ator três vezes: por The Thin Man (1934), My Man Godfrey (1936) e Life with Father (1947). Powell estrelou The Great Ziegfeld (1936), contracenando com sua colega de elenco de The Thin Man, Myrna Loy, que interpretou a esposa de Ziegfeld, Billie Burke. Em 1937, Powell recebeu sua segunda indicação ao Oscar por My Man Godfrey.
