Luise Rainer[1] (Düsseldorf, 12 de janeiro de 1910 — Londres, 30 de dezembro de 2014) foi uma atriz teuto-américo-britânica, vencedora de dois prêmios Oscar, na categoria Melhor atriz, por suas performances em Ziegfeld, o criador de estrelas ("The Great Ziegfeld", 1936) e Terra dos deuses ("The Good Earth", 1937). Em 1999 ela foi nomeada uma das 500 grandes lendas do cinema pelo American Film Institute. O próximo papel que Rainer interpretaria em Hollywood seria o de Anna Held na cinebiografia musical Ziegfeld, o criador de estrelas ("The Great Ziegfeld", 1936), papel que ela obteve em agosto de 1935.
