Karl Tunberg
Urodzony w Spokane w stanie Waszyngton, najwcześniejsze pisma Tunberga obejmowały opowiadania i powieść zatytułowaną While the Crowd Cheers, która została opublikowana w 1935 roku przez Macaulay Company. Bardzo szybko talent Karla Tunberga do opowiadania historii został zauważony przez studia filmowe i został zatrudniony do pisania scenariuszy. Najbardziej znany jest z Ben Hura (1959). Jak zauważono w wielu współczesnych źródłach, oprócz Tunberga, który napisał pierwszy scenariusz do projektu ponad pięć lat przed rozpoczęciem głównych zdjęć, Christopher Fry i Gore Vidal przyczynili się do scenariusza podczas kręcenia filmu. Maxwell Anderson i S.N. Behrman są również wymienieni jako współautorzy w broszurze pamiątkowej filmu. Tunberg zmarł w Londynie w kwietniu 1992 roku i został skremowany w Golders Green Crematorium.
