Franco Zeffirelli
Gian Franco Corsi Zeffirelli (12 de fevereiro de 1923 - 15 de junho de 2019), comumente conhecido como Franco Zeffirelli, foi um italiano palco e diretor de cinema, produtor, designer de produção e político . Ele foi um dos mais importantes diretores de ópera e teatro da era pós-Segunda Guerra Mundial, ganhando aclamação e notoriedade por suas luxuosas encenações de obras clássicas. Os filmes que dirigiu incluíram as adaptações de Shakespeare The Taming of the Shrew (1967), estrelado por Elizabeth Taylor e Richard Burton ; Romeu e Julieta (1968), pelo qual recebeu uma indicação ao Oscar de Melhor Diretor. Sua minissérie bíblica de televisão Jesus de Nazaré (1977) ganhou aclamação nacional e internacional e ainda é frequentemente exibida no Natal e na Páscoa em muitos países.
